What is RFID?

Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is a technology for sender-receiver systems to identify and locate objects. By attaching RFID tags to objects these can be tracked by hand-scanners or RFID-reader equipped shelves and gates. Right now we are working on connecting collection management with the advantages of the RFID technology: Automatic updates of specimens’ locations, contactless bulk processing and anti-theft protection.
